1481534 Control apparatus; lighting control SIEMENS AG 7 Aug 1974 [7 Aug 1973] 34899/74 Heading G4H Apparatus for controlling a plurality of individual operative elements 14 comprises a console 11 having a single keyboard 16 and an electronic control unit 12 interconnected with the keyboard through a plurality of switchable control lines 18, 20, 23, 26, the control unit containing memory stores 21 for data relating to the operation of the elements and means 29 for routing operational commands to the respective elements, and the keyboard and control unit being arranged so that selection of an element and the issue of control commands therefore can be effected serially through separate control lines from the keyboard. As described, the console outputs are used to control the lighting in a TV studio. Switch 17 is used to select a particular projector 14 via switches 29. Switch 19 is used for addressing memory 21. Switch 22 together with a timer 24 and memory 21 is used for fade in/out control. Switch 25 connects the keyboard with a setting device 27 for rotating the projectors. Switch 31 allows new brightness data to be fed to memory 21 selected using switch 17 (corresponding to the projector to be controlled). Data passed via a selected switch is displayed at 18. A further switch 32 connects a digital device 30 which provides continuously varying brightness control.
