Abstract

1481274 Bearings W SCHAEFFLER and G SCHAEFFLER 25 Feb 1975 [5 March 1974] 7845/75 Heading F2A A rolling bearing cage comprising edge rings connected to each other by webs 3 which are so formed that they support the rolling bodies 5 against both radial inward and outward displacement is rolled from a flat strip with prestress so that the ends 2 thereof are resiliently pressed against each other, those surfaces of the webs which define the pockets having a contour which is substantially complementary to the contour of the rolling bodies at least in that zone in which the said surfaces effect the support of the rolling bodies against radial inward displacement. The cage has retaining projections 6 which support the rolling bodies against radial outward displacement.
