1479623 Mattresses BOWATER TECHNICAL SERVICES Ltd 17 Oct 1975 [5 Nov 1974] 47779/74 Heading A4M [Also in Division D1] An interior spring mattress has a basic filling comprising a resilient mat of strands of wood wool in which the strands are bonded with an adhesive and wherein at least 90 wt per cent. of the strands have a minimum length of 150mm. The mattress optionally includes a layer of scrim between the filling and the springs. Portions of the strands may be oriented vertically. The adhesive may comprise 10-20 wt per cent. of the dry weight of the wood wool. The mat may be 25mm. thick and weigh 1À5 kg/m<SP>2</SP>.
