Abstract
1477048 Digital - to - analogue conversion LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGSGmbH 6 Sept 1974 [28 Sept 1973] 39028/74 Heading H3H In digital-to-analogue conversion, the digital value is the number of logic is continuously circulated through a shift register 1, the contents of which can be controlled by logic 2 for replacing logic is by 0s and vice-versa, the analogue output U 0 being derived by integration of the shift register output. Preferably the number of stages n in the shift register is even. For initial setting to half full scale value, alternate is and 0s are read into register 1 via AND gate U 1 , feedback of the register contents via gate U 3 being inhibited. The invention may be used for controlling volume, brightness and colour in TV sets, lighting brightness and servomotors.
