Abstract

Preparation of tricyclic compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R represents lower alkynyl, in which the triple bond is not immediately after the linkage site, or alternatively denotes hydroxy-lower alkynyl or alkanoyloxy-lower alkynyl, in which the triple bond is neither immediately after the linkage site nor immediately adjacent to the hydroxyl or alkanoyloxy group, and furthermore in which one of the two substituents R1 and R2 or R3 and R4 represents hydrogen and the other represents methyl, methoxy, methylthio, halogen, trifluoromethyl, methanesulphonyl or dimethylsulphamoyl, or of salts of these compounds, by reaction of an appropriate N-unsubstituted dibenzothiepinylpiperazine with a compound donating the radical R. The products have centrally depressant and neuroleptic activity.
