Abstract

1475887 Yarn feed NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP 24 Feb 1975 [26 Feb 1974 21 May 1974 (2)] 8587/74 22627/74 and 22763/74 Heading D1C A yarn feed device comprises a rotatable member around which yarn passes in a zig-zag path provided by a series of curved pegs &c 14, such that when the yarn tension increases it is pulled down on the hub of the member. When the tension slackens the yarn moves up the pegs to adopt a more or less straight path. The path may be defined by the convex parts of two opposed undulating surfaces (150) on a drum (Figure 2D, not shown), or curved teeth (104) secured to a hub (Figure 7).
