1475085 Covers LIGHTNING FASTENERS Ltd 26 July 1974 [31 July 1973] 36293/73 Heading A4M A vehicle seat comprises a trim material covering 11 having an opening closed by two interengaged rows of zip fastener coupling elements 16 secured to carrier tapes 15 connected to the trim material such that the coupling elements are disposed inwardly of the seat relative to the tapes. If both the trim material and the tapes include thermoplastics material, the tapes may be high frequency welded to the trim material. The zip fastener may be one of the requisite length for the intended opening. Alternatively the zip fastener may be devoid of a slider, the coupling elements being inter-engaged by a removable slider and the closed fastener then being provided with end stops.
