1473677 Reduction catalysts for removal of nitrogen oxides G A SKVORTSOV N N NIZEEVA A I PODZHARSKY and I V DOBROVOLSKAYA 29 May 1974 23889/74 Heading B1E [Also in Division Cl] Catalysts consist of vanadium and manganese oxides deposited on an inert support in a weight ratio V 2 O 5 /Mn 2 O 3 of 0.1 to 30 and in an amount of 5-40% of the total weight of the catalyst. The catalysts may be made by dissolving ammonium metavanadate or vanadium pentoxide in aqueous oxalic acid, adding a manganese salt to the resulting solution in the appropriate weight ratio, impregnating the support with the solution, drying at 110- 120‹C and calcining at 400-600‹C, the impregnation, drying and calcination being repeated one or more times.
