Abstract

1473625 Dispensing container for air-treating gels AIRWICK INDUSTRIES INC 22 April 1975 [24 April 1974] 16708/75 Heading A5G A dispensing container for air-treating gel comprises a base member 12 is the form of a cup having an open upper end portion 18 and integral base and side walls the cup including internal guide and support means comprising a plurality of internally formed axially elongated and peripherally spaced spring fingers 28 extending upwardly therefrom to positions above the upper end portion of the base each finger having a portion adapted to be embedded within the gel when the gel is housed in the container and a closure member 1 for the dispenser comprising an elongated cup having opposed closed 34 and open end portions and a side wall extending therebetween, the closure member receiving and slidably engaging the spring fingers through its open end portion in a friction fit with the inner surface of its sidewall engaging the fingers whereby the elongated closure member is adapted to be supported on the spring fingers above the open end of the base member. The spring fingers may be spaced inwardly of the upper end portion of the base member and the upper end portion has a plurality of webs 76 respectively associated with the spring fingers extending radially inwardly therefrom to positions adjacent to but spaced from the spring fingers, whereby the webs serve to break up any ring gel tending to form about the fingers in the base member.
