Abstract

1473433 #-(Arylsulphonamido)-alkylamines BANYU PHARMACEUTICAL CO Ltd H HIDAKA and N AOKI 9 Oct 1975 41482/75 Heading C2C The invention comprises #-(arylsulphonamido) alkylamines of the formula wherein R represents an amino group or an acylated amino group, R<SP>1</SP> represents a halonaphthyl group; and n represents an integer of 5 to 8. The compounds of the invention may be prepared by (i) reacting an aliphatic diamine of formula R(CH 2 ) n NH 2 with an arylsulphonyl halide of formula R<SP>1</SP>SO 2 X where X represents a halogen atom; and then if necessary removing the acyl protecting group or (ii) converting an #-(arylsulphamide)-alkanoic azide of formula R<SP>1</SP>SO 2 NH(CH 2 ) n CON 3 to the corresponding amine by the Curtins rearrangement reaction. The compounds of the invention are used as pharmaceuticals.
