1472711 Picking-up tool A R CORNELL Ltd 26 March 1976 [26 April 1975] 17410/75 Heading B4W Apparatus for moving items of food without hand contact comprises a housing 2 for placing over an item of food, manually extendible lance means 6 having at least one prong 8 for spiking the item of food and biasing means 28 for biasing the lance to a position in which the said prong is withdrawn into the housing. The housing may be of elongate channel form or of flat plate form and may provide a knife edge and/or fork prongs (Figs. 2-4, not shown).
