Fittings, internal; drying, moistening, and like agents, specially designed for; jacketed cases; ventilating, and draining cases. - A double-walled case for the transport of fresh fish, &c. packed in ice e has the vertical walls of the interior case b based on the bottom of the exterior case a and provided with strips o supporting a removable bottom g. The bottom g and the bottom of the exterior case are perforated to allow the escape of melted ice and for ventilation, the perforations being covered with layers of wood shavings f which prevent the melted ice carrying the sawdust or other insulating material, packed between the cases, through the perforations. Rings k are provided on the bottom g so that it can be easily removed.
