Abstract

1469356 Baths A M PRATT 5 May 1975 [19 Aug 1974] 18683/75 Heading A4N A ritz bath 10 comprises a chair 15 mounted on a pedestal 16 within a domestic bathtub 12, said chair including a dish-shaped seat 20, an inner wall 21 extending downwardly away from the seat edge 22 to a generally annular bottom 24, and an outer wall 25 extending upwardly from the bottom 25 to a level above the seat and defining a chair front 35, two sides 33, (34), Fig. 3 (not shown) and:a rear 32 suitable for supporting at least a patients middle back. The sides extend outwardly to define armrests (38), (39) and the front 35 provides a lip 40 to support the patient's legs. A suitably directed inlet 48 is connected to a flexible supply hose 45 and a handle 50 facilitates the positioning &c. and emptying of the bath. Small holes may be formed in the rear wall 32 to encourage a continuous flow of water.
