Abstract

1469223 Steroid 17-azidoformates JENAPHARM VEB 22 Dec 1975 52327/75 Heading C2W The invention comprises the azidoformates of testosterone and 19-nortestosterone, and their preparation from the corresponding chloroformates by reaction with sodium azide. Also disclosed is the similar preparation of the 17-azidoformate of 3#-(acetoxy or benzoyloxy) androst-5-en-17#-ol. The compounds of the invention are credited with androgenic, anabolic and antigonadotropic activities, and may be made up with carriers into pharmaceutical compositions for parenteral administration.
