1468797 Water filter A Y H YANIKIAN 23 May 1974 [23 Feb 1973] 9064/73 Heading B-D [Also in Division C1] A water filter comprises a tank 10, whose lid 12 has a filling aperture 13 and which encloses a filter element in the form of an elongate cloth envelope of flat rectangular section, draped sinusoidally over support bars 16 and filled with sponge rubber, sand or particulate activated charcoal. Purified water is drawn from the interior of the filter element via ducts 21, manifold 22 and tap 15. Both the cloth envelope and its filling filter and/or purify the water. The tank has a drain plug (14).
