1467769 Inflatable safety devices for vehicles NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd and IKEDA BUSSAN CO Ltd 8 April 1975 [15 April 1974 16 April 1974] 14311/75 Heading B7B A vehicle safety device of the inflatable bag type is provided with a plurality of gas sources 20, 20<SP>1</SP> for inflating the bag 14, and a normally open load-sensitive switch 22 in a vehicle seat connected in series with some 20 of the sources, the arrangement being such that all of the sources are inflated only when the seat is occupied. The gas sources are connected in parallel to a collision detector 26 and a main circuit switch 28, the seat switch 22 being between the detector and source 20. If an occupant is not seated at the line of vehicle collision source 20 is not fired and the bag is only partly inflated by source 20<SP>1</SP>.
