Abstract

1467618 Mooring ships WESER AG 23 May 1975 [25 May 1974] 22951/75 Heading B7S An arrangement for mooring ships comprises three hawser holding devices 1, 2 and 3, one, e.g. 1, being mounted on a block which is movable along a path 10, e.g. by means of rollers, which extends at an angle to a notional line joining the other two, the block carrying a sheave 9 so that a hawser 5 can be secured at both ends to a ship 11, and can be led between the sheaves 2 and 3 via the sheave 9, and a second hawser 4 can be secured to the ship and be held by the holding device 1. In the embodiment the holding devices comprise sheaves (11), Fig. 4, not shown, pivotally mounted in a support (14) about an axis (13) and held in position by a catch (15), (16).
