Abstract

1467549 Spray carburetters FORD MOTOR CO Ltd 23 July 1975 30723/75 Heading F1H The vacuum motor 30 positioning the movable wall 12 of the Venturi is connected to the induction passage 10 downstream of the Venturi by passages 44, 46 containing a non-return valve 53 in parallel with a restriction 51 or a valve which provides more restricted flow in one direction therethrough. The valve 53 permits substantially immediate communication of reductions of induction passage vacuum to the motor and the restriction 51 delays communication of vacuum increases. The non- return valve may be a resilient ball valve, Fig. 3 (not shown), or a resilient slit valve, Fig. 4 (not shown). The restriction 51 may be a sintered metal porous plug or an insert (52), Figs. 3 and 4, with a restricted passage. The restriction may be adjustable by a screw.
