Abstract

1466495 Saddles F CARUSO 10 June 1975 1975 [10 Oct 1974] 24773/75 Heading AIM A riding saddle tree comprises a wooden base a surmounted by a reinforced plastics upper part b the base a being formed by an inverted V shaped front part 1 and side elements 4 attached at the front ends to wings 2 of the front part 1 and at their rear ends to an arcuate element 5. Reinforcing plates 6, 8, 9, 10 are provided on the undersurface of the base a. The upper part b is made of epoxy resin reinforced with glass fibre and attached to the base a by means of screws 14 at selected points so as to allow flexing to occur. A transverse girdle 15 and stirrup bars 11 are attached to the base a at appropriate points.
