Abstract

1466344 Electrostatographic carrier particles XEROX CORP 26 Feb 1974 [26 Feb 1973] 8730/74 Heading B2E [Also in Division G2] A carrier for electrostatographic developer mixtures comprises a substrate, e.g. sodium chloride, ammonium chloride, aluminium potassium chloride, Rochelle salt, sodium nitrate, aluminium nitrate, potassium chlorate, granular zircon, granular silicon, methyl methacrylate, glass, silicon dioxide, -nickel, steel, iron and ferrites, having a coating, at least the outermost surface portion of which comprises a halogen substituted silicone polymer. Many suitable polymers are listed. The particles may be coated by immersion in a solution of the polymer, spraying or fluidised bed coating.
