Abstract

1466121 Internal resistance heating HENRICH KG MASCHINEN FUR DIE DRAHTINDUSTRIE 29 March 1974 [9 Nov 1973] 14157/74 Heading H5H [Also in Division C7] In apparatus for heating and/or annealing elongated electrically conductive material by resistance heating thereof the elongate material is passed upwards through a first electrolyte container 4 and is subsequently passed downwards through a second electrolyte container 6; electrodes connected to a power source 10 being present in each container whereby electrical connection is made via the electrolyte to the elongate material the elongate material entering the first container and leaving the second container via holes 3, 7 respectively in the bottoms of the containers. Between the containers the elongate material may pass through an inert atmosphere.
