Abstract

1465245 Humidifier G K E RUBEL 27 March 1975 [29 March 1974] 12907/75 Heading B1R A humidifier for artists' palettes comprises a box-like container 11 with a cover 12 therefor and having side members 13, 13' provided with grooves 14, 14' to slidably receive an artists' pallette 15, a back member 16 and an open front to allow insertion of palette 15, a wire mesh 23 supported on members 35 and arranged so that it slopes relative to the cover and downwardly towards a sump 20 for containing water, and a wick 22 supported by 23 and extending over the area of container 11 with its lower side in the water to provide a humid atmosphere over the whole surface of the palette 15. In a further embodiment (Fig. 3), two sumps are slidably attached to each side member 33 and 34, each end of the wick dipping into water contained therein, the supporting members 35 being arranged to form in cross section a crown configuration to provide a domed support for the wick.
