1465077 Coated glass STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 20 March 1975 [25 March 1974] 13063/74 Heading C1M A body of glass having a glass frame which is an oxide of an element of Group IIIB or VB of the Periodic Table has a protective surface layer of a glass wherein the glass formers are approximately equimolecular amounts of oxides of both a Group IIIB element and a Group VB element. In examples a lead borate glass is heated in a stream of oxygen containing P 2 O 5 and a lead phosphate glass is heated in an atmosphere containing B 2 O 3 .
