Abstract

1464906 Clips TENNECO INC 16 Sept 1974 [17 Sept 1973 27 Sept 1973] 40304/74 Addition to 1411553 Heading E2B The Specification discloses a mounting system of the type disclosed in Parent Specification 1411553. The post 43 on which the clip 25 of the mounting system is suspended is provided with a resilient layer in the form of a rubber sleeve or grommet 45. The jaws 57, 59 of the clip are part elliptical and in endwise elevation cross each other. The post 43 is mounted between two interengaging parts 27, 35 of the strap 23. The mounting system is used for supporting the exhaust system of a motor vehicle (Fig. 1, not shown).
