Abstract

1463949 Marking gauge H B AINSWORTH 24 Dec 1975 52802/75 Heading B4X A marking gauge for marking a centre line on a workpiece comprises two arms 10, 12 pivotably connected together at or adjacent one end thereof, a rod 22 slidably connected to the pivot point 14 and pivotally connected intermediate its ends or adjacent one end to two further arms 28, 30, said further arms being pivotally connected to respective arms of the two arms 10, 12 and being arranged to maintain the rod 22 equidistant therefrom, the rod 22 having marking means 40 in the form of a scriber or pen for marking the centre line. As shown the ends of the arms 10, 12 carry rollers 20 adapted to engage the sides of the workpiece and inturned tabs 16 for engaging its upper face.
