Abstract

1463826 Microwave ovens NORTH AMERICAN PHILIPS CORP 27 Feb 1974 [9 March 1973] 8889/74 Heading H5H The mode stirrer 13 in a microwave oven 1 consists of a thin metal disc divided by radial slots 18 at the periphery into a plurality of segments 19, the ends 20 of the segments being bent out of the plane of the disc and is arranged to rotate near a microwave launching aperture 4. The segments may be bent up and down or all up or all down; all at the same angle or different angles or at progressively changing angles. The metal is thin to permit easy adjustment to suit a particular oven.
