Abstract

Portable endless - chain elevators; discharging and feeding devices; diving-gear. -A portable endless-chain elevator for transferring a pile of material from the ground into a wagon &c. comprises a steerable vehicle 1 driven when required by a motor 4, the countershaft 7 driving through chain gearing 26 the endless chain 18. The lower shaft 17 of the endless chain drives through gearing 32 two ribbed disks 33, Fig. 3, which feed the material to the buckets. By means of a handwheel device 36, the framework can be adjusted so that the disks 33 are raised clear of ground irregularities. The material is discharged on to a rocking screen 20 operated by linkage 23 and an idler wheel 25 driven by the chain 26. A guard 29 under the endless chain protects the motor &c. from spilt material and a ground scraper 39 pushes into an engageable position material missed by the ribbed disks.
