Abstract
1463262 Skinning fish, cutting fins S LINDBLADH and W STAHLBERG 8 Aug 1975 33151/75 Heading A2U Skin is removed from pre-treated fish by treating it with an acid, e.g. citric or acetic acid and flushing off the treated skin, e.g. with water. A suitable apparatus comprises conveyor 3, spray heads 11 for the acid, flushing nozzles 17 and 18 and drains 15 and 23. This apparatus may be preceded by a fin cutting apparatus comprising a plurality of conveyor belts 31-Fig. 5 separated by disc knives 40.
