Abstract
1462700 Facsimile systems DAINIPPON INK & CHEMICALS INC and MITSUBISHI DENKI KK 3 June 1974 [1 June 1973] 24475/74 Heading H4F In the production of a sectionalized image (e.g. a colour separation sectionalized image), Fig. 8, of an original pattern, Fig. 7, from which a punched pattern card may be prepared for automatic pattern textile manufacture, the original pattern being mounted on a rotary drum and helically photoelectrically scanned, Fig. 9, in synchronism with the scanning of a photosensitive sheet attached to another rotary drum by a light source modulated with the resulting photoelectrically derived video signal, to compensate for the distorted sectionalized image, Fig. 10, which results due to the helically scanning the pulses which are used to sample the video signal are advanced by a given period of time for each rotation of the drums in a cumulative manner so that upon reproduction a corrected sectionalized image, Fig. 12, is produced. The sampling pulses are electrically advanced by the time required for the rotary drum carrying the original pattern to turn the circumferential distance B<SP>2</SP>/#D for each rotation of the drum, where B is the helical scanning pitch and D is the drum diameter. The analysing light spot diameter is less than or equal to the scanning pitch B.
