Abstract

1462125 Crash bags for motor cycles P W BOTHWELL 18 Aug 1975 [18 May 1974] 22302/74 Heading B7B A motor cycle is provided with front and side inflatable crash bags 18, 19 to protect a rider in the event of a crash. The side crash bags may be shaped to extend around the rear of the rider. The inflating means comprise solid fuel pyrotechnic gas generators operable by electric igniters actuated by an inertia sensor.
