Abstract

1461991 Dry antiperspirant aerosol compositions COLGATE-PALMOLIVE CO 30 April 1975 18005/75 Heading C4X [Also in Division A5] A dry antiperspirant aerosol composition comprises (a) an antiperspirant, (b) an aerosol propellant and (c) as vehicle, a compound of formula: wherein R is C 2-6 alkyl and R 1 is C 4-8 polyhydroxyalkalene containing 2-4 hydroxyl groups. The preferred vehicle that in which R is isopropyl and R 1 is 2, 3-dihydroxybutylene. Other ingredients specified include aluminium basic carbonate (antiperspirant), CClF 3 and CCl 2 F 2 (aerosol propellants), pyrogenic silica and modified Montmorillonite and Hectorite clays (suspending agents), perfume and propylene carbonate (wetting agent).
