Abstract
1461524 Dental cleaning agent J C MUHLER and H R ALEXANDER 6 Aug 1974 [13 Aug 1973] 34620/74 Heading A5B [Also in Divisions C1 and C4] A dental cleaning and polishing agent comprises feldspar particles, substantially all of which pass through a 20 mesh screen (U.S. Sieve Series-ASTM E-11-61) and have a particle size of 37-420 microns. The agent may also include a binder, e.g. hydroxymethyl or hydroxymethyl cellulose, a humectant, e.g. glycerol, mannitol, sorbitol or propylene glycol, stannous fluoride, sodium fluoride, titanium dioxide, saccharin, flavouring, e.g. peppermint, water, finely-divided silica, meta-phosphoric acid, sodium lauryl sulphate, colouring, carboxymethyl cellulose, or magnesium aluminium silicate. It may be made up as a twocomponent pack, e.g. a two-compartment polythene sachet.
