1461419 Endoprosthetic hip joints FRIEDRICHSFELD GmbH STEINZEUG UND KUNSTSTOFFWERKE 17 May 1974 [17 May 1973 19 May 1973] 22113/74 Heading A5R An endoprosthetic hip joint comprises a femoral part, Fig. 1, having a head 1 connected to a longitudinally curved shaft 4 by a collar 3, the shaft having a quadrilateral cross-section and that side 5 of the shaft facing the centre of curvature of the shaft being at least 10 mm wide and at least as wide as the oppositely directed side 6 at those portions of said sides adjacent the upper end of the shaft, and being no more than nine tenths the width of side 6 adjacent the lower end of the shaft. The specification also discloses an acetabular part 11, Fig. 4 (see Specification 1461420).
