Abstract

1458910 Electron multipliers MULLARD Ltd 4 April 1975 [7 May 1974] 13907/75 Heading H1D A channel plate is combined with an insulated focusing electrode Mf, the input cross-sectional aperture areas of electrode Mf being smaller than the cross-sectional areas of the output ends of the channels, the remaining cross-sectional areas of the apertures being no smaller than the input areas. The apertures of the focusing electrode are preferably flared to open in the direction of electron flow. Dimensions and potentials are given. Other details and applications are as in the parent Specification. References are included to continuous plates with short flared channels as in Specification 1,417,643 and laminated plates as in Specification 1,434,053.
