Abstract

1458590 Camera shutters SEIKO KOKI KK 18 April 1974 [19 April 1973] 17021/74 Heading G2A A shutter for an SLR camera has a blade ring 10 which closes blades 2 and then is held stationary by a lever 6 while blades 2 open and close to effect an exposure, lever 6 then being moved to allow ring 10 to rotate and reopen the blades. On depressing a release 15 a rod 13 is moved leftwards by a spring 13 to rotate ring 10 anti-clockwise, whereby a lever 5 comes into engagement with a surface 10d to close the blades 2. Then a lever 8 on ring 10 operates a member (7), Figs. 2-4 (not shown) to step down the diaphragm (not shown) to a pre-selected value and a portion 10a of ring 10 strikes a release 4 which operates the blades 2 to effect an exposure and moves lever 6 into a position in which it is engaged by a stop lever 11 when the latter is engaged by a pin 10e on ring 10. This stops movement of ring 10. When the blades close at the end of exposure, lever 6 is shifted to allow ring 10 to continue to rotate anti-clockwise, whereupon lever 5 is engaged by surface 10b to reopen the blades, lever 8 is cammed by a pin 8b to reopen the diaphragm and finally rod 13 is halted by a stop pin 16. To cock the shutter lever 13 is moved rightwards to rotate ring 10 clockwise and cause the portion 10a to operate a cocking lever 3.
