Abstract

1458521 Mounting lamp bodies LUCAS ELECTRICAL Ltd 6 March 1974 [19 April 1973] 18878/73 Heading B5A A plastics vehicle lamp body, having portions 10, 11 which are mutually inclined is made by moulding the article with the portions 10, 11 at less than the desired mutual inclination (as seen in Fig. 1) and with integral hinge means 15 between the portions, and then bending the article about the hinge means until the portions have the desired inclination, Fig. 2, and the latches 16, 17 engage. The invention is stated to reduce the necessary separation of injection mould members when the article is removed. As moulded, Fig. 1, the axes of the bulb holders 12, 13, and bushes 21, 14 and a boss 22 for attachment to a vehicle body are parallel.
