Abstract

1458043 Adjustable assembly for roller-box tools ALFRED HERBERT Ltd 25 April 1974 [21 June 1973] 29443/73 Heading B3T In an adjustable assembly suitable for use in a roller box tool means is provided for effecting fine adjustment of the roller units which comprises a threaded member 18 located in a threaded bore 19 of the or each roller carrier 11, 12 the member 18 having a flange 18a which engages in a slot 16b in an intermediate cylindrical member 16 which is located in the carrier 12. The member 16 has oblique serrations 16a which engage corresponding serrations 15 on the body 10 of the roller box tool whereby adjustment of the screw member 18 causes movement of the member 16 which by interaction of the serrations 15, 16a causes displacement of the roller carrier 12. The serrations on the body 10 being formed on a ridge which acts as a guide for the movement of the or each roller carrier. When appropriate adjustment has been effected the roller carriers are clamped by bolts 21, 22.
