1457265 Polymerizing purified ethylene SNAMPROGETTI SpA 19 Dec 1973 [20 Dec 1972] 58960/73 Heading C3P [Also in Division C5] Ethylene, freed from acetylene by contact with an absorbent prepared by mixing a compound of Cu, Ag or Au with a zeolite, spheroidal alumina, silica gel, kieselguhr or colloidal silica stabilized in aqueous suspension to form a spraydryable mixture, spray drying, granulating and reducing the compound to the metal, is polymerized at 85‹ C. and 6 kg./cm.<SP>2</SP> in heptane containing AlEt 3 and TiCl 3 .
