1457127 Disperse benzene-azo-naphthalene dyestuifs IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 24 July 1974 [22 Aug 1973] 39777/73 Heading C4P Novel dyestuffs of the formula wherein X is Cl or Br; Y is CN or NO 2 ; A<SP>1</SP> is -CH 2 CH 2 - or -CH 2 CH(CH 3 )-; A<SP>2</SP> is -(CH 2 ) 2 -, -(CH 2 ) 3 - or -(CH 2 )O(CH 2 ) 2 -; and R is C 3-3 alkenyl or is alkyl optionally substituted by Cl, Br, CN, alkoxy, aryloxy or aryl, are prepared by conventional diazotization and coupling. They are used to dye and print synthetic textile materials, e.g. cellulose acetates, polyamides and polyesters, in deep blue shades.
