Abstract

1457017 Antiskid systems GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER CO 8 May 1974 [8 June 1973] 20326/74 Heading F2F An antiskid braking system includes a master cylinder 10, a power boost control valve 24 controlling power assistance to the master cylinder, an antiskid hydraulic control valve 50 in circuit between the master cylinder and the valve 24 and means to supply hydraulic fluid under pressure to valve 24 with the hydraulic flow to actuate the master cylinder passing through the valve 50 before actuating the master cylinder. An accumulator 72 supplies fluid via valve 24, which is operated by pressure on a pedal 40, and valve 50, the latter being operated by a solenoid in response to a skid signal to interrupt power assistance and thus reduce braking pressure.
