Abstract

1457007 Drain pipes F KIRCHNER and H KIRCHNER [trading as FRANKISCHE ISOLIERROHR - UND METALLWAREN - WERKE GEB KIRCHNER] 14 Dec 1973 [22 Dec 1972] 57997/73 Heading A1B [Also in Divisions El and F2] A drain pipe has circumferential (or helical) corrugations which are reduced to approximately zero at three longitudinal lines 4, 6 (Fig. 1), thus providing a pipe which is resistant to external radial forces but does not have the axial flexibility associated with continuous corrugations. The external crests of the corrugations form a substantially flat base to the pipe. The corrugations may also be triangular in section and water-seepage holes 5 may be provided. In one embodiment (Fig. 3) the pipe cross section provides two longitudinal water-collecting troughs 25.
