1456154 Coin dispensers SEGA ENTERPRISES KK 7 March 1974 [11 May 1973] 10357/74 Heading B8S [Also in Division G4] A coin dispensing machine has a coin storage amount detector device, a coin storage container 8 and a rotary disc 6 rotatably mounted at the bottom of said container for discharging coins stored in the container one by one, characterized in that the coin storage container is electrically insulated from the rotary disc which is made of a conductive material, a part 8a or the whole of the inner wall surface of the coin storage container is given an electrical conductivity, and means for measuring an electrical resistance is connected between said coin storage container and the rotary disc, the circuit being completed by coins in the container. In operation coins 23 are held between protrusions 11, Fig. 4, and locking members 12 as the disc 6 is rotated so that they are passed to a coin separator 17 and thence to an outlet. Protrusions 10 stir the coins in the container. A kicker 14 is withdrawn below the level of the disc 14 during rotation thereof. Coin storage container 8 has most of its surface, ineluding its flange surface and inner surface of holes for receiving stud bolts, applied with an insulation coating, and is detachably mounted on base member 5 by means of stud bolts 9 so as to be electrically insulated from the base member. Part 8a has the insulation coating removed. Lead wires 21, 22 connect base member 5 and container 8 to an - electric resistance measuring instrument. When coins fall below the level 8a a warning light is activated. A coin counter lever 18 is connected to a counter switch which controls the motor for driving the disc 6.
