Abstract

1455496 Storage battery casing COMPAGNIE EUROPEENNE D'ACCUMULATEURS 7 May 1974 [10 May 1973 21 March 1974] 20169/74 Heading H1B A storage battery comprises six cells 1 ... 6 each having its individual plastics casing, adjacent walls of the casings being thermowelded or cemented together. The cells are connected in series by connector bar passing through the adjacent walls connecting the facing plate straps 11, 12, a seal ring 13 being provided, the seal ring having an external groove in which the casing walls engage. The battery is carried by a strap 15 having handles 21, 22 and is retained by strips 16, 18 located on the filler tubes 17, 19. In a modification (Fig. 4, not shown) adjacent cells are spaced by a plastics strip interposed between the adjacent walls, the seal ring also penetrating the strip.
