Abstract

1455382 Filter elements EXPANDED METAL CO Ltd 13 Jan 1975 [15 Jan 1974] 01-870/74 Headings B1D and BIT A filter element comprising a mat of filter material enclosed within an envelope of expanded metal mesh. The envelope may be constructed from two rectangular sheets as shown. The edges of the end flanges may be bent over to form hooks which engage the meshes of the opposed sheets to secure the sheets together. The filter material may be a plurality of corrugated sheets of finer gauge expanded metal in which the crests of the corrugations cross or abut to prevent "nesting" of corrugations, or the filter material may be woven mesh, glass fibre. or other filter material.
