Abstract
1454848 Liquid treatment apparatus W A BURRIS 4 July 1974 29691/74 Heading B1C Apparatus for supplying pressurised treated liquid on variable demand comprises a reservoir 11 for the liquid, liquid input means e.g. water pump 10, an ozone generator 13 for adding ozone to the liquid in the reservoir and control means comprising (a) switch means responsive to a change of pressure related to withdrawal of liquid and arranged to actuate the ozone generator in response to such change and (b) means cooperable with the switch means to allow liquid to enter the reservoir only when the ozone generator is operating. The switch means may comprise a float-controlled switch 12 or alternatively a pressure or pressure differential switch (Figs. 2-4 not shown). The means cooperable with the switch may be a pump 10 or valve in the liquid input line. The apparatus preferably includes delay means 15 for continuing the operation of the ozone generator after restoration of the liquid level. The delay means may operate in dependence upon build-up of gas pressure above the liquid level in the reservoir.
