Abstract

1452954 Picture stands R BUSSE 25 Oct 1973 [27 Oct 1972] 49686/73 Heading A4X A picture stand comprising a transparent prism 1 which can stand upon a horizontal surface, and at least one picture mount 2 extending round at least two contiguous surfaces of the prism and having inturned edges 200, 210 for resiliently and releasably engaging the adjacent surfaces of the prism. The prism may be of glass or plastics material and the upright surfaces may be curved, e.g. to achieve magnification. The pictures are applied to the surfaces of the mount 2 and are viewed through the prism. The mount may be formed as a frame, Fig. 3 (not shown). It may be made of plastics material which is opaque or transparent, or of metal, e.g. aluminium.
