Abstract

1451993 Counting pulses XEROX CORP 15 March 1974 [23 March 1973] 11579/74 Heading G4D Electric pulses representing e.g. operations of a photo-copying machine are counted into an electronic counter 30, 31 and via gates 71, 78 into a series of counters 32, 33, 34 the gates 71, 81 being enabled only for certain ranges of counts of the counter 30, 31. The gates 71, 81 are closed when respective bi-stables 70, 80 are set a pre-selected counts. The counts are selected by the wiring between plugs and sockets A, B, C; with the particular wiring shown counter 33 counts the first five operations of the machine; counter 34 the next six and counter 32 all the pulses. The counters 32, 33, 34 are operated via a buffer amplifier 39, 37, 82, a thyristor 40, 75, 82 and a transformer.
