Abstract

1450868 Flavouring dispensing machine W WOODROW CASE 21 Feb 1974 7858/74 Heading A2A A flavouring dispensing machine comprises a base frame 10 having an elongate rectangular mounting plate 1 and a parallel verticallyspaced dispensing head support member 3 which is affixed in position by spacer columns 5 and 7 and a vertical plate 9. A source of rotary power including a D.C. motor 13, a reduction gear box and an electrical junction box 17 is also present. The support member 3 and mounting plate 1 are provided with sizeable apertures 11 and 14 in vertical registry, the aperture 11 forming a communicating passage between a hopper 25A and a dispensing head unit 30. The dispensing head is comprised of a rigid rectangular subframe formed of a pair of parallel end connectors 27, 29 and parallel side rails 31, 33. A foraminous screen 75 is positioned to extend between shaft hangers 61, 63, the longer edges of the screen being anchored to the underside of the side rails. In use, the material to be distributed is placed in hopper 25A and falls through aperture 11 into the dispensing head 30. Energisation of motor 13 via its controls and reduction gear box drives a shaft 65 and a rotating cage comprised of assemblies 70 including spokes 71 and rods 73 so that material in the unit is agitated and caused to discharge through the screen 75. A modified form of machine is shown in Figs. 5 and 6.
