Abstract

1450602 Dyeing textiles OBERMAIER & CIE 9 Oct 1974 [22 May 1974 20 Aug 1974] 43806/74 Heading D1L In the dyeing of textiles the dye liquor is made up by firstly filling the treatment vessel with heated water and then introducing thereinto concentrated dye from a second vessel. As shown treatment vessel B1 is evacuated via valve V7 by pump P4 or vented through valve V13. The vessel is then filled with heated pressurized water from heated tank B4 via valve V6, cooler water being introduced through valves V8, V9 and excess water overflowing into vessel B3 via valve V12. Valves V1, V4 are then opened and pumps P1, P3 started to circulate the heated water through heat exchangers W1 and W3. Concentrated dye is introduced via valve V14 into vessel B2 provided with a spring-biased piston pressure controller 1, [Fig. 2 (not shown)], heat exchanger W2 and stirrer P2. Valve V5 is then opened to equilibrate the pressures in vessels B1, B2 and B3 and subsequently valves V2, V3 opened and valve V1 closed to circulate the concentrated dye from vessel B2 into vessel B1. During dyeing all or part of the dye liquor may be circulated through vessel B2.
