Abstract
1450379 Rocket propulsion engines-propellant injector DEFENCE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR 11 Aug 1971 [3 Sept 1970] 42323/70 Heading F1J A propellant injector for the introduction of at least two hypergolic liquids into a combustion chamber of a jet reaction motor includes a boss 1 projecting from the end-wall 2 of the combustion chamber, flow passages for the liquids being provided in the boss leading to conduits which are so positioned that the liquid streams impinge on one another adjacent a side wall 12 of the combustion chamber. As shown, one of the liquids flows from inlet 11 through passages 5 and 7 into the combustion chamber. The other liquid enters at 4 and flows through similar passages. Different arrangements of passages in the boss are described with reference to Figs. 3-5 (not shown).
